Review: Jordana Color Effects Powder Eyeshadow Single in Bronzeville

One of my latest and most exciting find in my local dollar store was Jordana Color Effects Powder Eyeshadow Single in Bronzeville! I was in need of  a lid color for a meeting but I didn't have much time or many make up besides mascara.I went to my local dollar store and saw a Jordana Make up section. I have always seen Jordana but it never that clean. Most of them in dollar stores look kinda dusty. This one was very clean , and it was calling my name! This eyeshadow has amazing pigmentation. Its silky as well, I would say it is very comparable to the feel of Stila eyeshadows. This collection has 24 shadows in total!  I brought this for $1.99 .

Old packing of the Jordana Color Effects Eyeshadow
Packaging:  The eyeshadow single is the upgraded version of the old packaging which looks a  lot like the childish play make up we had back then. The product contains 1.65 grams of product. (That is .15 more grams than a typical MAC eyeshadow!)  The cap is screwed on, very sturdy.

(Most accurate color I could get)

Swatch above with only one swipe (NO primer!)

Product: The color I brought is called Bronzeville . As the name calls, it is a bronze color that is just stunning. This eyeshadow isn't matte or a satin. It is a metallic eyeshadow that will give your eyes that summer glow to them. I had to edit some of my photos to show you the true color. But all the photos are only one swipe without a primer. Could you imagine what the color would look like WITH a primer?! The color does stay and it doesn't crease! But I think with a primer underneath, the color could really stand out and last maybe the whole day!

Where to buy:

Dollar Stores sell it for $0.99 to $1.25

Review: E.L.F. Essential Lipstick in Classy

I am sure many of you have already heard about E.L.F. It can be found online as well as in Target! Their products range from a single dollar to about $5! That is  not all; E.L.F. (which stands for eyes lips face) have been getting raves from everyone! After watching Emilynoel83 's video (Click here! Amazing dupes!)on lipstick dupes, I decided to pick this up! Emily said it was a dupe for Viva Glam Gaga! I wasn't going to shed out $14 dollars for a lipstick but if I could get the same for a single dollar, I thought why not!

So, here I am! About 3 months after buying this at Target.

Packaging: This product contains a silver tube  with a clear plastic window in the middle to show you the color. I enjoy when products have a window, so you can have a better guess of the color.  Simple, sleek, and the cap isn't flimsy either!

Product: (Sadly I left this in my little pouch and it melted on top, so the shape is flat due to my cutting. ) It originally had the classic lipstick shape head. The color is a neutral light pink.It reminds me of the color of my old barbie dolls. Just a simple pink. (I personally think the newer Barbie dolls have brighter lips) The color above is the ACTUAL color that I see in person! I honestly couldn't believe it either. Classy is a creme finish. NO shimmers at all ! It glides on your lips pretty nice, but I still say but a lip balm underneath!

Pennies of Beauty

Welcome! First off, thank you for checking out this blog. I know many of us are on a budget. Maybe you're a student or maybe a busy people, or maybe you just don't want to spend that much on beauty products! And that is TOTALLY fine! Most of the products I buy are either from the drugstore, dollar stores, and beauty supply stores. Either way it is most likely very affordable. Most likely to be under $15, that really depends on your area. I know Delaware drugstore prices are defiantly much lower than New York City's Manhattan. I hope you find this blog helpful, and if you have any questions, please ask!
